{"id":168,"date":"2015-12-23T13:44:45","date_gmt":"2015-12-23T13:44:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mndare.org\/WordPress\/parents\/?p=168"},"modified":"2015-12-23T13:51:18","modified_gmt":"2015-12-23T13:51:18","slug":"learn-from-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mndare.org\/WordPress\/parents\/2015\/12\/23\/learn-from-children\/","title":{"rendered":"Learn From Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mndare.org\/WordPress\/parents\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/12\/Two-Kings-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"Two Kings 2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mndare.org\/WordPress\/parents\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/12\/Two-Kings-2_thumb.png\" alt=\"Two Kings 2\" width=\"260\" height=\"175\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cWhile we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is about.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&#8212; Angela Schwindt<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Many years ago, my oldest son was one of the three kings in the Christmas play.\u00a0 He came on the stage, fearless, with one of the other kings.\u00a0 They both looked around to see that there was still only two kings.\u00a0 The audience was amused as the two looked for their missing classmate.\u00a0 The two kings continued on with their lines as a teacher coaxed the third king onto the stage.\u00a0 The audience laughed but the two kings didn\u2019t care; the show just went on.\u00a0 I watched on with pride and tears in my eyes (I always cry at my kids&#8217; school performances); the kings did not care what others thought, they were proudly reciting their lines.\u00a0 It was Christmas and they loved everything about it! <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Children excitedly wave to their parents from the stage.\u00a0 They dress up in colorful, cute costumes.\u00a0 (I remember one year my son had to wear construction paper elf ears.\u00a0 He is now 31 and it is still a great memory we enjoy.)
